“For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.” (2 Cor 11:4)

In Matthew 24, Jesus warns that false Christs will arise. Warren B. Smith aptly calls the way others allow themselves to be called Christ, or if Jesus is presented in a way that does not line up with the Scripture, ‘identity theft.’ If people say they believe in Jesus, it does not necessarily mean they believe in the Jesus of the Bible. The ultimate case of identity theft will be the person we refer to as the Antichrist.

Muslims believe in a Jesus whom they call Isa. They totally reject the idea that Jesus is the Son of God and consider him to be only a prophet. The Muslim Jesus is expected to return with their Mahdi at the time of the end and be a radical Muslim leader and convert many Christians to Islam. He will break crosses, abolish Christianity and kill the Muslim Antichrist (our Jesus) and his followers. The Muslim Jesus will also establish Islamic Sharia Law throughout the whole earth and then there will be ‘peace.’ It makes you wonder how Pope Francis could enter the Dome of the Rock which boldly proclaims that Allah has no son and to call Muslims “dear brothers!” Rick Warren also prayed in the name of Isa at Obama’s inauguration.

According to Jehovah Witnesses, Jesus was a spirit creature, Michael the archangel, who was created by God and became the Messiah at His baptism. They believe that he was a perfect man and ‘a god,’ but not ‘the God.’

Mormons teach that God the Father used to be a man on another planet and came to this world and had spirit children. They believe that Jesus is a spirit brother of Satan, but Jesus is the ‘elder brother.’

The doctrine of Jesus in the Roman Catholic Catechism clearly teaches another Jesus. Rome has Mary as co-Redeemer with Jesus, thereby denying that the blood of Jesus is sufficient to cleanse people of all sin. Hence people must also go through the cleansing fire of purgatory. Rome accepts Mary as a mediator between God and man, not just Jesus. Rome acknowledges the pope as the head of the church believing him to be Christ’s representative here on earth, the “Vicar of Christ.”

An easy way for Christians today to meet another Jesus is in Christian bookstores. There are many there, and the books are often stacked in piles and conspicuously promoted. One familiar one is the Jesus of The Shack. According to the author, Jesus is the “best” way to relate to the Father, not the only way. Another claim of The Shack is that God does not need to punish sin, undermining the centrality of the cross and the need for Jesus to die for our sins.

Selling by the millions now is Sarah Young’s Jesus Calling, which was inspired by the New Age book God Calling. According to Warren B. Smith, a former New-Ager, “by the end of the book, Jesus Calling and its “Jesus” had subtly and not so subtly introduced occult/New Age channelling, spiritual dictation, creative visualisation, meditation (meaning contemplative, non-biblical prayer), divine alchemy, co-creation with God, and practising the presence like it was everyday Christian fare.”

In contrast to what the Bible teaches, the “Jesus” of Jesus Calling teaches that God is in everyone, at the centre of every man’s being. This is a New Age concept.

In Jesus Calling, “Jesus” promotes the experience of his presence above God’s Word. If our experiences do not line up in every way with God’s Word, then the experience is not from God.

Sarah Young was not satisfied with God’s Word and hungered for more. The result was a counterfeit experience. One woman who came to realise the seductive power of Jesus Calling wrote: “The book has power over you, definitely. When you open the book there is overwhelming power. I can’t believe I thought it had more power than the Bible. And I wouldn’t read my Bible for a long time.”

Those who have another Jesus are invariably guilty of bringing Jesus down and stripping Him of His power and high position, raising themselves or others up to the level of Christ, or putting experiences above what the Word teaches.

The real Jesus is the Logos, the Word, and can be found only in the Bible. He is God incarnate and all the fullness of God dwells in Him (Col 1:19). He alone is the head of the church, not the pope, and the church is His body (Col 1:18; Eph 1:22-23). God is not in everyone. He is only present in believers.

Jesus alone is our mediator between God and man, not Mary, angels, priests, rabbis, imams, or anyone else (1 Tim 2:5). God cannot be reached by having experiences which make people feel good. Those who seek God by other means invariably end up coming in contact with a demon who disguises himself as an angel of light. In Matthew 24, Jesus warns four times about being deceived.

Jesus created all things in heaven and on earth (Col 1), including Satan and all the other angels. He is not present in all of creation, but only in individuals who have put their trust in Him. We are not co-creators as New-Agers and Sarah Young teach.

It is only by His shed blood on the Cross that we can have forgiveness of sins and this sacrifice is wholly sufficient. (Heb 7:25-27; 9:22) We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus, not by works, baptism, sacraments, attending church, or any other way. There is no need of purgatory because the shed blood of Jesus is all-sufficient.

Truth and infallibility can only be found in Jesus, the Word, not by new revelation. Those who have trusted in another Jesus will one day face the real Jesus and hear the dreadful words, “I do not know you, depart from me.” Are you sure that you have the right Jesus and not another one? Your eternity depends on it.

“Life’s biggest decision is what you do with Jesus.”

According to Scripture, God begins pouring out His wrath on mankind at the sixth seal (Rev 6:16-17). His wrath continues through the trumpet judgments until the end of the plagues of the seven bowls when His wrath will be completed (Rev 15:1). The second and third bowl judgments are specifically in response to the shedding of the blood of saints. The sea, rivers and springs will all become blood. (Rev 16:3-4)

“You are just in these judgments, you who are and who were, the Holy One, because you have so judged; for they have shed the blood of your saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve.” (Rev 16:5)

Open Doors have just produced its top 10 violence list, based on persecution incidents between November 2012 and March 2014. Nigeria, plagued by the Islamic terrorists Boko Haram, is ranked first. According to Open Doors, the leading cause of persecution of Christians among the top ten countries is Islamic extremism.

A new report by RAND.Corp has found that the number of Islamic radical groups operating in the world has skyrocketed since 2010 with a nearly 60 percent increase in the number of Islamic radical groups and a 300 percent jump in the number of attacks perpetrated by al Qaeda and its affiliated groups.

According to a new German intelligence report, Salafism is the fastest growing Islamist movement in Germany, and Salafist jihadists pose one of the greatest threats to national security. There are also Salafists in New Zealand.

The Director of the Institute for Counter-Terrorism says Europe is about to feel what Israel did in the late 1980s. Dr. Boaz Ganor has predicted that Europe will be facing a full-blown Muslim-Arab intifada soon. He based his prediction on the recent upsurge in Islamist terror, and explained that the second generation of Muslim immigrants in Europe does not feel gratitude for the European citizenship that their parents received. These second-generation immigrants feel alienated and discriminated against, and believe they are treated as second rate citizens.

The Islamic beast is rising at a terrifying rate. It is becoming easier for us to visualise how extreme Islam will be by the time God brings these blood judgments on an unrepentant world for the shedding of the blood of saints. In countries under Sharia Law, Christian worship is forbidden under threat of death. At the time of the Exodus, Pharaoh was asked to let God’s people go that they might worship Him. Pharaoh refused, and the water in the Nile, the streams, canals, ponds and reservoirs was all turned to blood (Ex 7). Another blood judgment is coming.

God warns His people to separate from this evil. “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues; for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes.” (Rev 18:4-5) Yet we find people who claim to be Christian buying into the lies of Islam. The pope calls Muslims “dear brothers” and prays with them while others introduce Chrislam into their churches and support Christian Palestinianism. “Come out of her!”

In light of the respect commanded by the pope across the Christian world, a Jordanian columnist Hussein Al-Ruwashdeh wondered why the Muslims did not have a similar source of authority, and why they did not have influential and accepted figures worthy of emulation, capable of raising Muslim prestige worldwide. Al-Ruwashdeh will have his wish fulfilled when the Antichrist appears.

A 75-year-old Irish pastor is under ‘hate crime’ investigation after he condemned Islam in a sermon. “The God we worship and serve this evening is not Allah,” he proclaimed, according to a video of his sermon. “The Muslim god—Allah—is a heathen deity. Allah is a cruel deity. Allah is a demon deity.”

The Florida Family Association warned families to stay away from Magic Kingdom in Orlando on June 7th, the annual “Gay Day.” As many as 12,000 homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals and transvestites descend on Disney World there and celebrate their lifestyle in front of unsuspecting families who did not know in advance.

The Dean of Washington’s National Cathedral (Episcopal) says it’s a sin to oppose homosexuality. The message was part of a weekend tribute to the homosexual youth at the National Cathedral. He said that churches that oppose homosexuality produce a culture that is harmful to children. The Cathedral claims that it is called to serve as the spiritual home for the nation. May God have mercy on America!

Denmark’s Parliament has voted by an 85-24 margin to force churches to conduct same-sex marriage ceremonies identical to same-sex ones inside their sanctuaries. Under the new law, officials may opt out from performing “same-sex” weddings based on theological reasons. However, they must arrange a replacement.

Economist Martin Armstrong warns that negative interest rates are coming to the US, meaning that Americans will be forced to pay just to keep their money in the bank. He said this in the week that the European Central Bank cut its deposit rate for banks from zero to -0.1%. It is part of a package designed to encourage banks to provide more loans to businesses and households. Many view it as a desperate sign of the faltering economic recovery.

Half of Americans are finding it hard to meet rising rents and mortgage payments and are making sacrifices in order to make ends meet. These include getting a second job, deferring saving for retirement, cutting back on health care, etc.

You’ll never get relief from worry until you confess it as sin. Worry doubts the goodness of God; it says He doesn’t care. Worry doubts the wisdom of God; it says He doesn’t know what He’s doing. Worry doubts the power of God; it says He cannot deliver me from the thing that’s causing me to worry. – William MacDonald,“The Revolutionary Teachings of Jesus Christ”
