Be Very Alert! – By Val Hollard (NZ)

Those who read the article and watched the video on the Muslim prayer at the Washington National Cathedral should be left in no doubt as to the advancement of a One World Religion (OWR), which the Bible prophecies will be in existence in the last days. Chrislam, the blending of Islam and Christianity, is becoming commonplace in the Protestant church and increasingly so in evangelical churches. This is based on the lie that Christians and Muslims believe in the same God. In fact, there is no common ground between the two faiths.

(The video article referred to above is this one…The Great Apostasy. This is shocking! Watch the video clip at the bottom too.)

Signs of the OWR are everywhere. Someone has described the World Council of Churches as “a window into the heart and soul of end-times apostasy.” For example, in September they called for all “churches” to build new non-judgmental bridges to one another and beyond to other religions and to refrain from offending others with dogmatism. They also called for an interfaith fast for the climate as a spiritual exercise, in solidarity with the victims of climate change.

Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) is an area where ecumenical barriers are being broken down too. Michael W. Smith is described as one of the most influential CCM artists alive and also as a radical ecumenicalist. Smith performed for the Roman Catholic World Youth Day in Denver in 1997, attended by Pope John Paul II, and also joined the Roman Catholic Kathy Troccoli and 40 other CCM artists to record Love One Another, an ecumenical song about tearing down the walls of denominational division.

NZ Catholic priest and singer/songwriter Chris Skinner presents an ecumenical message too. In Peace, he sings about the need for compromise and letting all our bridges burn. And in We are Connected, he sings about how we are connected in one great family, no matter our creed. Surely our creed matters? Many have stopped accepting God’s Word as the truth and are doing what they think best.

In October, Pope Francis told those committed to Christian unity that they should pray and work together now, and not wait for theologians to reach agreement. The pope was speaking at a private meeting with the Ark Community which was established by his late friend Tony Palmer. Earlier this year, Palmer brought a message from the pope to evangelicals at Kenneth Copeland’s church which led them all to agree that the Reformation was over.

“We are sinning against Christ’s will” the pope said, “because we continue to focus on our differences,” but “our shared baptism is more important than our differences.” “While the devil, the “father of lies” divides us,” the pope added, “we are called to preach the Gospel in every corner of the earth, with the certainty that He is with us… We each have in our churches excellent theologians,” he said, “but we shouldn’t wait for them to reach agreement.”

Do evangelicals have a shared baptism with Catholics? A Roman Catholic is taught that in baptism one is regenerated and becomes a child of God; a true Christian knows that regeneration is the work of the Holy Spirit alone, and that baptism does not regenerate. We are not saved by works or by being accepted into the church through infant baptism as an infant understands nothing about repentance.

On the 17th November, Pope Francis hosted a global ecumenical conference. Among the partakers were Rick Warren from Saddleback Church in California and Russell Moore, the president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention. Jews and many other professing Christians and people from other faiths were in attendance. The international Colloquium was sponsored by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and co-sponsored by the Pontifical Council for the Family, the Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue, and
the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of Christian Unity.

The purpose of the gathering was purportedly “to examine and propose anew the beauty of the relationship between the man and the woman, in order to support and reinvigorate marriage and family life for the flourishing of human society.” However, the pope’s real reason for calling this group of people together seems to be more about promoting a OWR with all religions of the world behind the pope.

Warren did present a strong case for biblical marriage. But one questions why he and Moore had to join up with others which included non-believers to present their case without giving the Gospel message.

In his talk, Rick Warren referred to the pope as “Holy Father.” By using this title, which should only be reserved for God (Matt 23:9; John 17:11), Warren was signalling to the millions who follow his teachings that it is alright for Christians to place themselves under the pope. Millions will now most likely see that there is nothing wrong with joining up with the Catholic Church despite the dozens of non-biblical new revelations Rome has introduced, such as infant baptism (416 AD), purgatory (590), prayers to Mary, saints and angels (600), the sinlessness of Mary (1854), and the infallibility of the pope (1870). Popes are mortal men and we should not put our trust in them (Psalm 118:8-9; 146:3-4). “Stop trusting in man, who has but breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?” (Isaiah 2:22). Jesus is the living Word and the same yesterday, today and forever. He has not changed His mind about what He inspired to be written in the Word. Listen to Jesus, not the pope! And by the way, Mary is not divine and omniscient. She cannot hear prayers.

There are well over 1 billion Catholics in the world, and a billion more other professing Christians. That’s a total of well over two billion, a considerable percentage of the world’s population. In Matthew 7, Jesus warns us that only a few find the narrow road that leads to life. The Roman road is very wide.

Recently, I’ve come across a number of reports about what is being taught about religion in American public schools and this should come as a warning for parents in New Zealand to check what is being taught to their children.

Pamela Geller, author of the book Stop the Islamization of America: a Practical Guide to the Resistance, has reported on alarming accounts of what children have been bringing home in Social Studies homework which introduces them to Islam. New textbooks have large sections devoted to Islam, the story of Muhammad and the Qur’an. One book even goes on to say that “…Muhammad revealed the purest version of God’s truth” and that Muhammad is the final prophet of God’s truth with the most complete version of that truth.

In one assignment, students were asked to illustrate the 5 pillars of Islam, drawing a picture of each and describing them in a few sentences. On top of that, they were also asked to write a word collage of all that is good with Islam. Children are also being forced to say the shahada and learn the five pillars of Islam. The shahada is what Muslims force Christians to say when the convert. It is the Muslim declaration of faith, “There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his Prophet.”

Kelsey Harkness reports too on the outrage of some parents over what were “correct” answers to a ninth-grade assignment about Islam. Muslims were portrayed as more faithful than Christians and that Islam, at heart, is a peaceful religion. Jihad was described as a religious duty, a personal struggle in devotion to Islam, especially involving spiritual discipline.

Most parents don’t mind their children being taught about different cultures and their religions, but now Islam is being singled out for special attention. With Bibles, prayers to Jesus, the Ten Commandments and Christianity being increasingly banned from schools in America, Islam is now filling the gap. Christianity may still get a mention, but only very briefly.

Another problem with school textbooks is that children are being taught to hate Israel, and the right of the Jewish people to the land of Israel is ignored. Usama Dakdok teaches extensively on this problem.

For example, in The World and its People, it says, “If Abraham moved to the land of Canaan (Palestine) he would be blessed.” In another example from Traditions and Encounters: A Global Perspective on the Past, by McGraw Hill, “Israelites formed a branch of Hebrews who settled in Palestine (modern-day Israel).” And “Abraham migrated to Palestine about 1850 B.C.E.” They also state that Jesus was born in Bethlehem, a small town in ancient Palestine. The truth is that Palestine never existed then and Jesus was never a Palestinian. They say if you tell a lie often enough, people will believe it.

Parents, check your children’s textbooks and homework and speak up rapidly if you find your children are being taught these lies.

(Reports on how Islam is taking over in American public schools keep pouring in. See below)

Kathleen Mitchell describes the significance of the recent Muslim prayer at the Washington National Cathedral. “According to the Koran, wherever Islamic prayers are held, and wherever Allah is declared as greater, that structure automatically becomes a mosque… the spiritual possession of and the high ground for Islam.  That is why, throughout generations, up to the present day, Moslems take over churches, holy places, and synagogues when they invade, and immediately make them into mosques.  It is a sign of Islam’s supremacy over all other religions… Islam just claimed possession of America according to their holy book.”

This is exactly what Satan wants to do in the coming new Temple in Jerusalem. It will be Satan’s final attempt to replace the God of the Bible and claim the whole world for himself. This is why there is such a battle over the Temple Mount.

Following the American mid-term elections, the House of Representatives invited the Imam for the Islamic Center of Central Jersey (mosque) to deliver an Islamic prayer. Hamad Chebli praised Allah, “the most gracious, the most merciful” from the House floor while others bowed their heads in agreement and respect. In his prayer he declared that America recognizes Allah as their god, saying, “Thee do we worship.” Chebli is portrayed as a moderate, peaceful Muslim by many, but his mentor is featured prominently on the official Muslim Brotherhood web site.

The Turkish President, Recep Erdogan, has claimed that Islamic explorers discovered the Americas three centuries before Columbus and that this should be taught in schools. He cited as evidence for his claim that “Columbus mentioned the existence of a mosque on a hill on the Cuban coast.” He insists that “very respected scientists in Turkey and in the world” support his claim and said he was willing to build a mosque at the site that Columbus identified. This would again show Islam’s supremacy. Some Turkish media have mocked Erdogan’s claims.

Tax breaks for politically correct sermons: Maryland County (US) has introduced a “rain tax” based on the size of landowners’ roofs and paved areas as these areas don’t absorb water. Churches have been offered significantly reduced fees if they start “green” ministries, lessen pollution and preach environmentally focused sermons to educate their congregations.

Quoting Hudson Taylor (China Inland Mission):

“God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply.”

“God always gives the very best to those who leave the choice with Him.”

“What is necessary is not that we have a great faith but rather that we have a simple trust in God’s great faithfulness.”
